Will the players work offline?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When offline, the existing content (images+videos) would run on the displays. Internet connection is needed just for downloading the new content. Also, the existing schedules that were set before will run as planned. Streams and web URLs cannot be played on the screens without an internet connection.

Is portrait mode supported by SVEISA CMS?

Accepted Answer

Yes, SVEISA supports both landscape and portrait mode. You can set the orientation while adding a display to the CMS. Orientation can be changed later after adding the displays as well.

I have set the display orientation to portrait. Why is it still playing in landscape mode?

Accepted Answer

Some Android media players need a workaround to enable portrait mode. In the Android media player, Go to Settings -> Display -> Orientation and select ‘Original’. Portrait mode is not supported on Amazon firestick.

How long does it take for the new content to reflect on screens?

Accepted Answer

Content gets pushed to the Displays instantly. The actual time for the new content to be on the screens would depend on the internet speed and the content size.

For Android, we support media players with Android version 4.4 and above.

Android media boxes (4.4 and above), Philips SOC displays (QLine and DLine), LG webOS signage monitors (webOS2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 4.2 and 6.0),
windows media players and Amazon firesticks. SOC displays would not need media players separately.

I have an LGwebOS signage display. Do I still need a media player?

No. SVEISA supports LG webOS 2.0 and above versions.
